Fence Post Ripping is hard work, intense and fast!  Our competitors must accurately slice down the length of the log provided to mark each post, which is then freed using wedges, hammers and crowbars. This event generates a big crowd, it’s definitely one to get in early for to get a seat in the grandstand!  With thanks to our local sponsor The Saw Spot who has kindly donated prize money.

The Woodchop Event is more than just a competition that tests speed in cutting through a log of wood with an axe, woodchopping is a sport for men and women and a blockbusting crowd pleaser!

In the sawing competition, technique is every bit as important as fitness and strength, whether it’s single-handed or double-handed. Don’t miss the Jack & Jill Sawing, often it is husband and wife on each end of the saw!
